What materials did you use? I started with 2 layer cakes called Indigo Crossing by Moda plus additional fabric from the line. My quilt is hanging in front of my sliding glass door so you see the seams due to the light.

What are you most proud of? That I now have 2 projects to quilt. Free motion quilting is next.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Try it. It is not overly complicated. If you are new to quilting, it will give you confidence to move forward.

Love your color scheme! Free motion quilting- here you come! Maybe if you took a class that teaches FMQ you could take that giant step. Besides Leah Days Craftsy classes she has FREE instruction on YouTube. I usually quilt an overall meandering stitch. Not as rigid as other FMQ. I hope you are able to get it going. You already have so much work into both quilts. They need to be on display.

I love your color scheme too! What a striking top. I love the back too!. I started FMQ on placemats. They were easy to move around.

I love how you took Amy's idea and made it your own! This would look great on the end of my sons bed. I guess I'm gonna have to do different color schemes for each of the boys now. Thanks for the inspiration!
