Make It

This project was made from an independent Craftsy designer's pattern:
Sunshine Shimmy »

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Home

Style: Classic

Materials

Batik pancake, warm 'n soft quilt batting, batik backing

What was your inspiration?

I had 18 pieced squares left over from the previous quilt so I thought I'd better use them up with a second quilt.

What are you most proud of?

The quilting was done in the hoop - I created a embroidery design based on a triple stitch design I had in my collection. I modified the design to fill the triangular edge pieces, modified it again to fill the corner pieces, and modified it one last time to create small embroideries in the corners of the borders. It all turned out well - quilted up quickly.

Again, these squares were part of the original 36 that I made from a stack of forty 10" squares - which I cut into 2" strips.
