What are you most proud of? My knitting guild, The High Tide Purlers, gets a booth every summer at the Orange County (California) Fair, to promote knitting and show off many of our members' finished projects. We enjoy decorating our booth with hand made projects that reflect the theme of the fair. This year the theme is "Summer Starts Here!" and I happily came up with this seaweed inspired scarf embellished with sea stars and little fishies. The goofy flat fish accompanies them. I think with a little imagination the scarf looks like a pile of seaweed with fish and sea stars caught in it. I think my goofy flat fish came out adorable.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? For the scarf, I used super bulky (#6) yarn and giant size 50 needles. I cast on 13 stitches, worked the first and last 4 rows in garter stitch and the body of the scarf in seed stitch. The sea star is one of my original designs for my Floppy Hat and Beach Tote pattern and I found the little fish and flat fish pattern on the Internet.
