What materials did you use? cotton and batik fabrics, polyester batting

What are you most proud of? A co-workers wife is from Japan, and she gave me the words (ideograms?) for the back label, which helped bring it all together. I quilted this in an all-over "wave" pattern, which I think turned out well. This was one of my first large quilts. I made this for Christmas 2007 when I was in some kind of quilting frenzy - I made six quilts in 3-1/2 months that year for Christmas gifts (while working full time - not sure how I managed that!). Of all of those quilts, this is the one I looked at and thought, "I can't believe I made this."

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Just let your imagination wander and the fabric will tell you what to do.

Ditto for me on loving the colors. I really like this one and the wave quilting is perfect. :-)

Thanks! It's still one of my favorite quilts that I've made.
