Thank you. I thought the binding on the scallops would be difficult, but it was no harder than a straight boxer.

I'm so pleased that you like my projects. Thank you for the lovely compliments. I started quilting 16 years ago this summer when I first learned that I would be a grandmother. It's been a learning journey that I often feel I've just begun.

Thank you for the pattern information. I have subscribed to McCall's for years so I should have that magazine. I'll look for it tonight. Thanks.

The original quilt pattern is "Sherri's Scrappy Stars" from McCall's Quilting, The Best of American Quilting, Nov/Dec 2010. It's basically the Sawtooth Star block as found in Marsha McCloskey's Block Party with a nine patch replacing a plain center square.

Gorgeous quilt, at first glance it kind of looks like a sampler but then you realize that it isn't, it was just your choice of colors for each block. I REALLY, REALLY like your quilt and would love to make one. Hopefully someone will know the name of this block & share it with us.

Great border. Definitely need to use bias strip for that binging.

Oh, yes - but surprisingly, it only took a few inches more of the binding than a straight border would have required.

I love scrappy quilts. They're so much fun to work on. I tried a scalloped border on one of my quilts but like the gentle curve best on yours. I'm putting that in my idea folder.

I'm glad you like it. It was my first experience with scalloped borders and I was surprised at how simple it is.

I had to look at your quilt BetsyO because I remembered you doing one but saying you wanted to do it with shallower curves so I thought you had done it already.
