Scrappy Shoo Fly Quilt

Is this your project? Can you share instructions or a pattern with the Craftsy community?

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Classic, Traditional

Materials

Scrap Fabric, Muslin, Batting, Thread

What was your inspiration?

I was cutting my scraps into squares and triangles - so I thought I'd use some of them to make a simple quilt with Shoo Fly Blocks

What are you most proud of?

Making a quilt from my stash was great, but I really like the quilting - I was just learning to free-motion and my stippling looks really good on this one!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Scrappy quilts are fun - you can combine all kinds of fun fabrics and it looks great.

I really like this pattern and how you have arranged your material. Very nice. I have been looking for ideas to use up some of my left over materials.

Pamela, this quilt turned out awesome, and your free motion is great, I haven't had as much success with the stippling as you have, I only wish I did. I find it easier for me to do free motion shapes like stars and swirls, don't know why though, you would think that should be harder for me, oh well, still trying. Congratulations on another amazing quilt and thanks for sharing it......
