cotton scraps from my stash

What was your inspiration?

I am totally new to quilting and didn't want to waste my precious, newbought fabrics. So I took this scraps from my stash to play around. I assembled the squares and machine-quilted the resulting rectangle. I remembered my mother telling me she could use a little bag to organize her tote, so I rewatched my beginner's serging class and made this little pouch.

What are you most proud of?

I'm pretty proud that my points are not that bad :)

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

How did Amy say: "Measure twice, cut once!"

Beautiful! I love the chevron block and will be doing a whole quilt with it. Here's a Chevron with 10" blocks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BUNGH9B0Ohw

Wow. Thank you for the link to this beautiful quilt, I like the one with white and rainbow colours best.
