What materials did you use? scrap cotton fabric for the bargello portion, purchased cotton fabric for the borders, binding, and backing, walking foot for machine quilting, cotton thread for piecing and machine quilting, pattern (see below), 80/20 batting

What are you most proud of? The scrappy binding. There were no instructions for the binding. However, I felt that a beautiful scrappy quilt needed a scrappy binding.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? 1. Be patient and read the pattern word for word. Look at the pictures along with the instructions. 2. Decide on the color(s) for the border(s) and binding when the bargello portion is completed. 3. As per the instructions, I truly used the fabrics without any plan. I did not arrange the fabrics in any particular order. Think about whether you might want to group the scraps by similar color, similar patterns, etc. Look at the pictures of other projects where this pattern was used (they are provided by the pattern designer on the website)
