Instructions

This capelet is just a ribbed tube, knitted in the round, with a change of needle sizes in the center to provide shaping (no increasing or decreasing!). Materials

The basic version uses 2 120-yd. Scraplet Skeins; variations include making half with 1 120-yd. Scraplet Skein, and the other half with about 130-140 yds. coordinating yarn. Needles: U.S. 13 and 9 24" circular needles

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Because this is a simple tube, with no increasing or decreasing, it's a great project if you've never knitted in the round before now. The main thing with knitting in the round is to remember that, unlike with flat knitting, you always have the right side of the work facing you-- don't try to turn and go back in the opposite direction! (I'm speaking from sad experience here...) Just keep going round and round-- you'll love it!
