After taking Joe's class, pattern-free quilt making, I decided to let go of any preconceived notions of how this finished quilt would look. I cut the scraps into identical widths, then sewed them into long strips, added solid fabric between the strips. I quilted it in two sections to fit into my domestic machine, then sewed the sections together using techniques I learned from another class.

The other class I took was Ann Petersen's, "Quilting a big quilt on a small machine." She has techniques for joining quilted sections.

I like your color combinations and the lines... simple yet rich.

Thank you for mentioning the other class. I was trying to figure out how to quilt on my home machine. The other class will make it so much easier. I really like how you used the scraps of fabric and made it into a true art quilt. Great Job.
