What materials did you use? Some beautiful, very drapy bamboo rayon knit I've been wanting to use for some time but my old machine made a terrible mess of it, especially the hems. After taking Meg's 'Sewing with knits' class I learned many new skills and finally decided to stick with my old sewing machine and serger and invest in a coverstich machine... It changed my life, best investment ever! My sewing machine is almost 30 years old, I love it, but it just wasn't designed for knits.

What are you most proud of? how good the hems and neckline look (coverstitched!) I've washed it a few times and everything still looks great.

Did you dye the fabric?

no, I love the colour and was lucky to find this fabric!

I love your shirt! I've never tried Bamboo knit. The color is so gorgeous. I bought a coverstitch this year too, what a great investment.

what one did you get? I'm having a hard time finding info on it, I bought it bairly used but that means no lessons :( I bought a janome

I got the Brother. Not my favorite brand, but it was affordable and had good reviews. You should check youtube, I think I saw video tutorials on the Janome. Mine didn't come with much info either, even new, so I did a lot of googling to see overstitches in action and also some people have tutorials on their blogs. I also bought the binder attachment for mine, it puts your neckband on perfectly in one step, pretty neat!
