This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Sewing Custom Valances »

Instructions

The straight across design was perfect for the casual feel of this room and took me only two days to finish both windows. I never could have completed it without the course. Next I'm going to do the same treatments with the same fabric in the kids' rooms.

Category: Sewing

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Casual

Materials

Michael Miller Indigo Red Rail Stripe Red Piping on the top

What was your inspiration?

Actually I bought this fabric for my living room and changed my mind after it had already been shipped. I decided to use it upstairs instead of returning it.

What are you most proud of?

I am so proud that I can make my own custom window treatments! The possibilities are endless! I enjoy doing it so much that I may start making them for other people!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Definitely watch the course all the way through before you start sewing and before you buy your materials.

Wow - you did a great job! We are so happy that you found success with our class. We can't wait to see how you adapt the pattern for your children's rooms.
