What materials did you use? Cotton quilting fabrics and cotton thread.

What are you most proud of? I'm very pleased with the overall look of the quilt top and that I made it into something that will be quite functional.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Definitely follow Elizabeth's suggestions regarding using some sort of design wall. It really helps. Once I had my squares up on the design wall, I could play around with them and also try out different fabrics. For example, I wasn't totally sold on my light gray neutral, so I tried white, snow, and a natural linen. I also used the design wall to help me design and figure yardage for the negative space that I added around my Scattered Squares.

Hi, your quilt looks very sophisticated. Its a good idea that you expanded the negative space. Thanks for sharing.

I really live the colors. Would you mind sharing the name of the collection? Was it made from a layer cake? It's really great!
