What materials did you use? Gold dimensions kit

What are you most proud of? That I finished it! I did the top half at a steady pace but then left it for about 4 years. I got so sick of red! I finally went back to it and finished it during my last pregnancy. I also love how it looks framed. I wish I'd taken a photo before I framed it so you can see the difference! I used a gold strip that is inserted into the inside edge of the wooden frame to highlight the gold thread throughout the tapestry. I have a few finished tapestries sitting in my cupboard - how good this looks framed has motivated me to frame the others too!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? After doing this one and getting so bored stitching big areas in one colour I now choose patterns that have lots and lots of little details in the image. It keeps me interested for longer and there's less chance of me abandoning the project! On a project this size or larger, laminate the pattern before you start. They seem to fray very quickly along the folds!

Thank you! This frame was more expensive than I'd planned on but I am still so happy with it, it was worth being a bit naughty and splurging on :)

Gorgeous! I love all the colors in this. The frame goes well with it too :)

Hi I am about two thirds through this and as you have noted the chart is rather tatty and i am struggling to see the middle that was folded for the longest and it is just to the right of his face, i have scoured the net for a chart or even a complete new kit to finish it but without any luck. do you have any suggestions aside from me guessing the colours i need from images of completed work?

Joanne, I wish I could link to your facebook page or we were able to send personal messages on here because if so I could take a photo of the needed sections of my chart and email them to you!
