Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Crafty Crochet Embellishments »

Instructions

I used the scalloped edge described for the pillowcase as the edging for this mitered blanket.

Difficulty:

Category: Crocheting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Traditional, Whimsical, Casual, Romantic, Retro / Vintage

Materials

Lion Brand self-striping yarn

What was your inspiration?

I needed an edging for this mitered blanket and the scalloped edging in this course was versatile enough to use. I think it turned out nicely for a first attempt.

What are you most proud of?

That I didn't know how to crochet when I started this project!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Take this class! It's so much easier to learn when you can see the stitches being worked and can ask questions rather than just figuring it out from written directions.

I love these colors. The scalloped edging was the reason I took this class but it looks like I am going to learn much more than expected. As a new crocheter I look forward to being able to do this also. Very pretty work!

Thanks so much. The yarn did all the colorwork. It's a Lionbrand "amazing" yarn. It had to be machine washable because it was heading to a household with a toddler and a dog, so this particular yarn was a good solution.
