This necklace features 3 Middle Eastern coins from the Kuchi Tribe. The Kuchi tribe regularly use coins in their jewelry and stitched onto their clothes. The center coin depicts a lion wielding a sword, there is a crown hovering over the lion. It is from Iran and is dated 1974. The other two coins have scalloped edges and feature vines. They are both from Pakistan and are dated 1963 and 1961. All three coins dangle from wavy pieces of sterling silver which have been hammered into shape, polished and buffed to give a brushed matte finish resembling the worn feel of the coins. All other metal components except the coins, are sterling silver. The coins and silver are accompanied by several pieces of scale agate also know as spiderweb agate or carnelian. They have a lovely rich warm orangey red colour and look fabulous in the sun light. Is this your project? Tell us more!
