What was your inspiration?
I saw a state pillow on Red Envelope and then found this embroidery/applique design on Embroidery Library. I grew up in Michigan but haven't lived there since 1992. I still call it home!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Hmmm...Of the five states I've lived in only New York and Michigan have really distinct and funky shapes. I might get the other states (Pennsylvania, Nebraska, and Arkansas) but will embroider the state name over the state.
