I wasn't sure if my "braid" was "rounding out" too much...Also, I twist the stitch when I attach my float from the right hand. I correct for it on the next row. I am not sure what I am doing wrong.

I don't think your braid is rounding out too much (love the way you phrased that). It does look like one round (the top purl) is a little looser than the other (bottom purl row), which is causing it to be rounder. If it is blocked or as you wear it, the braid will straighten. Try on the next one to make the tension even on those two rows. Love your colors!!

I did figure out what I was doing wrong in anchoring the float. I was wrapping my left hand yarn from behind and over the needle instead of in wrapping from the front over the needle.
