Quilting: Sashed BOM

Sashed BOM

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2012 »

Instructions

I wanted a bigger quilt and so added four more blocks - learnt a few more techniques in the process.
Somehow the photo does not do justice to the blues and creamy yellows. the pieced quilt looks more striking than what the photo here shows.

Hey Shobi, I like your quilt! The little house block is so cute and I really like the red sashing with the aqua block backgrounds. (:

Thanks Cat. The house - it troubled me al ot as i could not get the eaves - gave up and kept it as a funny house. My nephew just said he liked it a lot!

Love the way the darker sashing makes the blocks pop. So pretty!

Red sashing was dh's idea. I would have gone for a complementing colour.

Looks really good, the extra blocks fit in so well and the red sashing compliments all the blocks. This is going to be a stunning quilt, looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Thank you Gog. Though right now I am taking a deep breath before I launch into the quilting. have only hand-quilted so far and this time I am going to try Amy's tips and go for machine-quilting.
