I used recycled Sari Silk to crochet the body of the bracelet. I hand sewed vintage lace to one side and added Dragonfly and Butterfly charms, along with some pearl, purple and gold glass beads. I lined it with very soft, pink fleece for comfort. It has a button with Angel closer. It is 10" long and 2" wide.
What was your inspiration?
The Sari Silk was the inspiration for this bracelet. I loved the colors and the thought that I could recycle something beautiful and useful into something else equally lovely led me to this piece.
What are you most proud of?
That I was able to make something pretty using my less than proficient crocheting!!! Lol! I am the world's worst crochet-er! My sister (who is a great crochet and knit artist) and I laugh at my inept attempts at crocheting and knitting! Most of what I make just gets pulled apart and the fiber gets re-rolled and stared at with longing!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
As always...have fun! I wasn't sure how this would turn out but I let go of my fears and managed to create something beautiful. You can too!!!
