What materials did you use? I used a black lace with a lightweight bright pink "mystery" fabric (prob. Polly Esther) underneath. The top (bustier) is boned on each seam, and has a "working zipper" which is separate from the dress zipper on the side bodice.

What are you most proud of? I love the way it fits my daughter -- no tugging to keep the bodice up. She was so happy in her new dress for our friend's wedding!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Give yourself lots of lead time with a big project like this, and take breaks! Oftentimes it takes a few more muslins than you'd think to get the perfect fit, so don't give up!

I probably never would have tackled this project were it not for the step by step lessons offered in this Craftsy class. Really loved the quick and insightful help -- thanks Lynda!!
