What are you most proud of? This picture is when it was still in progress, but I am proud that I used several of the techniques Wendy discussed -- stitch-in-the-ditch around the pinwheel blocks, free-motion hearts (and half-hearts) in the solid blues, and outline/echo free-motion quilting in the blue/white print border. I also used Wendy's quick binding technique and loved how it turned out (but not pictured here).

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Give free-motion quilting on your home machine a try! It is a lot of fun and satisfying to know that you've completed an entire quilt by yourself. I gave them this completed quilt as a gift and they loved it.

Yea for you to try the different techniques from the class... good to experiment and see what you like to do!!! love the bright colors in this piece!
