What was your inspiration?
I was asked to make this book for a woman who loved nature. Her nephew described her to me and I created the book.
What are you most proud of?
It was the first time I've ever incorporated brass wire and rods into my book designs and the first book I've ever made with this construction. The first page opens to the left, then you reach in and open the next page to the right, and so on.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
To make an artist book is a lot of work. Don't let anyone discourage you! You don't need to be a professional to begin to learn these skills.
