What are you most proud of? I only had a few minutes and limited materials. I was pleased with the proportions and perspective.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Go when the lighting is favorable. I was there late in the day and I liked the shadows at this time of day.

Hello Eliana18, Welcome to Perspective in Landscape Drawing. Congratulations on posting your first drawing assignment. It is appreciated that you included a reference image, and information on material, process and insights. You are right to observe that you got proportions and perspective. This is the type of sketch [whether the subject matter is a landscape, still life or portrait] that is so important to one's development and one should get into the routine of doing this everyday or regularly. One thing about landscape painting is something you noted: The time of day. Going out, if possible, day after day, season after season is part of the experience that informs us as landscape artists. Well done. I look forward to seeing the posting of your next drawing.
