What materials did you use? Handdyed cotton (old linen, snow dyed with Stof tot Verven Procion MX: Red MX-5B and Blue MX-G ), Handspun artyarns (merino, silk, mohair, art batts), all purpose sewing thread (thick and thin), metallic and gradient sewing thread, DMC embroidery floss.

My second project. Had a lot of difficulties making it, despite of that I had a lot of fun and learned a lot. The hand dyed cotton was challenging; only two main colors with lot's of contrast in lightblue and deep redviolet. Finding the balance in intensity and hue was difficult. I have spend hours and hours making little running stitches, I loved that part the most

What I love about this piece is how you emphasized the two colors and had your couching lines follow the fabric design. I think this is a very successful piece and your handwork is gorgeous!

Love it! Has a lot of movement. Kind of reminds me of lava.
