What materials did you use? I re-purposed my first quilted top. It had been at the bottom of a stack that I was hoping to cut up and use some other way. It was perfect as it had some larger sash in solids.

Wow, what nice free-motion quilting!

What kind of thread and weight did you use? Your stitches are so uniform...truly beautiful work. Are you serious, you've only been quilting for about six months?

My thread is Gutermann cotton thread. Yeah, i made my first project which was a small grocery bag using a 16 patch front/bag and started doing straight line stitches in December 2011. In February i tried a quilt and did straight line quilting. It was the 'baby quilt for Layla' project posted here on Craftsy. Thanks for the kind words. The encouragement is motivating and glad that I am able to inspire someone to fall in love with quilts/quilting

These colors are absolutely fabulous together. Was it a fabric line or did you pick them out individually? No wonder I follow you!!! :-)

This is not from any particular line, but scraps from my stash. I love green and purple. Two of the purples are from Anna Maria Horner: Innocent Crush and Little Folks
