Sampler Quilt BOM

Blue Sampler

Blue Sampler

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Craftsy Block of the Month 2012 »

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Other

Style: Funky, Traditional

Materials

All fabrics were blues from my stash. The background is a white tone on tone. The border was completed with a blue flower pattern that was used in the quilt. (I was running low on the background fabric.)

What are you most proud of?

Finally being able to make sense of paper piecing. Amy makes it seem so easy when I've struggled with it for many many years.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

ENJOY!! The instructions are done simply and yet completely. Step by step and you're done!

Thank you all for you very kind comments. I did enjoy learning new techniques one block at a time. It gives you plenty of time to "learn" each lesson. Thanks to you all.

That's going to be a family heirloom, I'm sure! The border, echoing the fabric used in some of the blocks pulls the whole thing together. Well done!

Absolutely! I't such a great feeling not to be spending upwards from $60 for a quilt top when you have drawers and drawers full of fabrics. Thanks for you kind comment. NanaDot
