What was your inspiration?

The room in my house where I put up the baby bed for my grandkids has souvenirs from my childhood in Ethiopia. My kids started calling it the "Africa Room" after I fixed it up for a guest room. At first I just used a second hand baby bed set, then I decided I wanted to fix my own to go with the room. Fat Quarter Shop had this fun and beautiful fabric. The backing is Minke.

What are you most proud of?

I finished it in about a month and I tried several new techniques. I like the way the colors look and the size change worked out perfectly.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?
