What was your inspiration?
The Day of the Dead, the beautiful art of Mexico. I love Frida Kahlo, and of course have been really influenced by the pinatas, trees of life, and the other folk art found in all parts of Mexico. Visit my website: www.tovadiandean.com. This pattern will be posted for free very soon!
What are you most proud of?
This is an original design, but what I'm most proud of is that I hand quilted the background.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Relax and be prepared to experiment with colors and textures. It's really a fun, fairly easy project that requires very little sewing if you use the heavy duty fusible webbing.
