What was your inspiration?

i promised my niece Ryan a quilt as a wedding gift, she decided she wanted one in the colors of her wedding, sent me the fat quarters left from making her own decorations for her wedding, found this pattern which seemed to work perfect with her colors, also used scraps from Halloween sewing, as it is their favorite holiday! i just sent it to her, it'll be there a couple days before their 1st anniversary!

What are you most proud of?

that I did a decent job with the sashing, been a long time since I used sashing, iIforgot what a pain in the neck it can be!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

scrap quilts have the ability to be someone's connection to the people they love- this quilt is filled with scraps from other quilts in the family, clothes made for grandkids, sometimes thats the best connection to make with a quilt

thank you, i love the colors, though they belong to my niece, who used these colors for her wedding, i did decide on tan rather than white for the sashing, it was a fun to quilt it

thanks so much! Ryan sent me fat quarters, so this pattern seemed perfect, it had been years since i did sashing, that did give me pause but i was happy with the result, the quilting is simple, im glad i had some narrow border templates, they worked well, had to get a random heart s & flowers design in there!

I saw this pic and thought how much it looks like the pattern of my ceramic tile bathroom floor! lol I had been looking at the floor over the past years thinking it would make a great quilt. Now I have an idea how fun this could actually turn out! Its a great quilt!
