What was your inspiration?
I'm a spouse of a Military retiree, and I support our Military men and women. I made this particular wall quilt in honor of my Marine son for his birthday. As a mother, I am most proud and supportive of my son's chosen career in the military and this is my way of showing my support. I wanted to give him something special for his birthday and he requested a bed quilt. Also, there can never be enough red-white-blue in a military home!
What are you most proud of?
My quilting without pins! I've always dreaded the actual quilting itself, but with Tailor's Quilting Spray, I actually had fun this time! I am now moving on to all those unfinished quilts that I've packed and moved over the past 22 years! I am officially retired and can't wait to start on the next few quilts, which I usually give as gifts year round.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Definitely try Tailor's Quilt Basting Spray - it's magic in a can! And have fun with it!
