Category: Crocheting

Type of item: Costume

For: Women

Style: Romantic, Outdoorsy, Casual

Materials

- 200 - 300 g (7.50 - 10.58 oz) / 600 - 700 yd (550 - 640 m) of worsted weight/aran yarn (CYCA category 4) - Crochet hook size J (6 mm) or hook needed to achieve gauge - Yarn needle for weaving in ends

What was your inspiration?

Water-nymphs of Slavic mythology.

What are you most proud of?

My stitch!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Do take your time choosing a hook of the right size for you. If you are new to slip stitch crochet and a tight crocheter, you may need to go for a bigger hook than the pattern suggests to get the right gauge.

Thanks! It is quite easy, but you do need to be comfortable with slip stitch crochet: http://slipstitchcrochet.blogspot.com/2011/07/slip-stitch-crochet-video-back-loop.html

I like it! It does not look like it would be complicated to make.
