Running on the Beach

Learn It

This project was made as part of a Craftsy course:
Art Quilting: Pictorial Techniques »

Instructions

It seems best to work with a photo that is not too cluttered and with good contrasting elements.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Outdoorsy

Materials

The inspiration for this project was a picture of my neice's husband and son running along the Lake Michigan shore last January. I used a variety of batik and hand painted fabric, with metallic thread as an accent.

I think the spirit of the original photo really comes through in your quilt! I also love the way the border compliments the quilt.
