I put the link to purchase the book that the pattern is in on amazon.com. The book is Better Homes and Gardens Quilt-Lovers' Favorites Volume 5 and this pattern starts on page 113
This is foundation pieced.

What was your inspiration?

I participated in a "Pay it Forward" swap on Facebook last year and my friend has roosters in her kitchen. As soon as I saw the pattern, I decided to make her one.

What are you most proud of?

I had never foundation pieced many things, really only one other thing that I can think of, so I was just glad to be able to do the project per the instructions in the book! I made a couple little errors, but I just sewed a button over them.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Always cut your fabric bigger than you think you need it to be for foundation piecing many sections.
