What was your inspiration?

The colors used and the different technics used i.e. paper piecing, applique. This was a challenge for me as I am relatively new to quilting. Ann's course of quilting big quilts on domestic machines gave me the inspiration to do my own quilting.

What are you most proud of?

I pieced and quilted on Bernina artista 730 (domestic sewing machine). I managed to finish the quilting in less than 10 days (after work) as had to finish for our local quilt guild exhibition. The quilt got good comments (on the piecing, applique and the quilting) from ladies who have been quilting for many years. That was my reward. The quilt got second viewers prize.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

follow the instruction to the point. One has to be very precise in cutting and piecing as there are many small pieces involved.

Thank you. It is not a printed border. It is a pieced swag border as per the pattern.

I have this pattern but haven't started it yet. I just finished my Sarah Vedeler Go! Bedazzled wall hanging that took me forever! You did a great job.
