What was your inspiration?
Years ago, while talking with my mother in law, she described to me a garment she remembered from her youth called a reading jacket. I thought it was a grand idea, but it was something that just wasn't around anymore. As shrugs came into style, I remembered the reading jacket my mother in law described and decided to come up with my own version.
The jacket pictured here now belongs to my mother in law. :-) It's perfect to keep warm while sitting and working at the computer, or curled up with a good book!
What are you most proud of?
How simple the design is, and how easy it is to customize to one's own size. It really doesn't need a pattern at all. It's just single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet, done in the back loops.
