I love this and your waistband looks amazing. Please would you share how you did that? I want to make one as a gift for my mom and this looks so elegant.

Thank you lovessewing. If I remember right I just added a piece the width of the apron (from one side to the other) plus 1" for SA x 4" high, in addition to the two ties that Amy already had it on the project. Then, folded in half lengthwise right side out I serged the raw edges with right side together to the top of apron (making sure I had my 1/2" SA pressed to the inside). Then I machine straight stitched the ties inside the band and top stitched 1/8" away from the band at the top (on the first ruffle) so the serged SA wouldn't flip up. I hope I explained okay.. It's been a while, but I think I remember everything. :) good luck!
