What materials did you use? Cotton fabric, two colors Wooly Nylon thread Polyester thread

What are you most proud of? I love the fabrics and colors I chose. I'm not too happy with the rest of it. My test fabric came out much more ruffled, even after multiple attempts. My rolled hem is not very neat. I missed a direction and had to improvise at the end a little. But, it is done and is in my apron stash. I found the boxed bag to be pretty easy, but the apron really tested my skills and stitch knowledge. I know what I need to practice before using some of the stitches in future projects!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? Take it slow, do a lot of practice stitches, and stick with it!

I really like the colors you chose, Branalyn! Your test stitch is beautifully ruffled- did you discover why your apron pieces did not ruffle as expected?

In a word? Impatience! Also, the purple ones, like the test stitch, did better than the floral ones (which was a much stiffer fabric) and I just sort of even it out some. I think if I had kept trying, I would have eventually made it work, but I was getting frustrated and ready to move on to the next project!

I agree. I just love that fabric and I think that I would reach for that apron when cooking just because it is so bright and colourful. Adorable.
