Category: Quilting

Type of item: Functional

For: Girls

Style: Mod, Whimsical, Cute, Casual

Materials

I used "Sew Cherry" fabric from Riley Blake.

What was your inspiration?

I saw a quilt-along on line. She started us with directions and then never finished, so I made up the rest of the quilt the way I liked it.

What are you most proud of?

It is cute and new and my granddaughter loves it!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Make sure the you catch all the gathers in, when you pull out the stitches, if they aren't caught you will have to hand stitch where it misses. You will probably have to use larger than 1/4 inch seams.

Aw this so cute and I love how you let your grand daughter arrange the blocks and she did such a great job! Love the handquilting and the ruffles, so different!

Thanks! I think she did a good job too! I had them all spaced in different places, but she liked the patterns together...so that is what we did!
