Instructions

Adjustments I've made so far.
-1/2" off the center back for "swayback."
-Added 1/4" to both the front crotch and front side seam to make room for my thighs.
-Took a little out of the back princess seam between my butt and my knee to try and get rid of some of the bagginess back there.

I know back crotch appears to be pulling in this picture but it's because I need to ...

Muslin

What was your inspiration?

I am hoping to eventually build myself some sweet fitting jeans. I'm tired of having to choose between pants that fit my thighs and pants that fit my waist.

What are you most proud of?

That I've made it this far in the process.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

It's going to take more than one try. Don't get discouraged.

Fubar, I love your muslin! :) Did you intentionally fit the pattern to ride on the high hip instead of the waist? That is what I plan on doing because I'm very short waisted and pants that sit at the waist are very unflattering on me.

I was able to use a "D" waist band based on my waist measurement. I didn't change it any.

P.S. I didn't use stay tape in my muslins (because I am lazy and didn't have anyaround the house). It may account for some of the slouch. I did take a 1/2 inch off of the center back.

Hi Fubar - these appear to be a good fit to me with the exception that they are made to sit at the waist. They look comfortable to me.

Looks great to me - if possibly a little tight in the back crotch area. But that may be just how you are standing at the time! Are you ready for "real" fabric yet?

I think it looks good. Is it comfortable in the crotch area?

Yeah. If I put them on rightside out the seam allownces don't catch on the rest of the fabric and cause it to pull. I should have taken the pics with them right side out.
