What was your inspiration?
Our little quilting group embarked upon a round robin project in 2007. We all completed a centre block and then passed it on to someone else in the group. After five friends had added a border the quilt was returned to its rightful owner. My quilt still hasn't been completed because I haven't found time to get it quilted, but I love it.
What are you most proud of?
When it's finished my quilt will have pride of place in my bedroom. Each border will remind me of the friend who stitched it. It is a quilt full of love and friendship. My quilt has friendship braid, quarter square triangles etc. On Joan's quilt I provided the applique border with petals. On Val's quilt I did the delectable mountains.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Enjoy the challenge. It's always good to try something new.
