What was your inspiration?
There was a beautiful autumnal mist over the garden when we awoke this morning. It reminded me of Keats' poem 'Ode to Autumn'. This brooch was inspired by the lines ' While barred clouds bloom the soft-dying day, And touch the stubble-plains with rosy hue.'
What are you most proud of?
I love the colours of this piece, they also seem to go with everything, which is very satisfying.
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
The recycled sari silks are a bit fiddly but worth it for the colours.
