What was your inspiration?

I love my little nephew... He is going to school this year, so I decided to make him a twin size quilt. Like for an adult person.

What are you most proud of?

I succeded to manage a quilt wich is 204*143 cm (80*56 inches) on my home machine for the first time! It was a challenge, but i did it!

Many thanks to my Craftsy instructors: Jenny Doan for her Quilting Quickly Course and Wendy Butler Burns for her Machine Quilting Course!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

It is just a fear when you start a big size quilt... Though, your eyes are afraid of it, your hands do it!

It's hard to start, but it's such a comfort to see your finished work. And great pleasure to see that your gift is valued by the recepient.

I made it for my dear nephew's birthday. He liked it very much, not just as a blanket, but also as a map for his games (he's 7)!

There is a lot of energy in this quilt. I think it has a lot to do with your lively sense of color. But also because of your variety in block size. You "altered" the altered squares pattern by using a full unpieced square alternating with the diagonal ones. So clever! And I like the two sizes of the borders. Great job!
