What was your inspiration?

I truly enjoy working with patterns that have dimension to them. I also like applique and have a wonderful shop owner that helped me select the many shades of red needed to get the right result.

What are you most proud of?

The simple fact that I saw it, liked it and was able to actually complete it. It brings a smile to my face when I look at the finished product and think of all the tiny pieces it took to complete it.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Careful Labeling of all pieces and patience. I did change the background from the original pattern so that I could use an overlay over the detailed design to assemble the pieces.

This is absolutely beautiful. My favorite rose is YELLOW. Can't wait to find the pattern and start the roses.

This would be the perfect quilt for my bedroom because I am allergic to roses. How do I get the pattern?

Sorry, I have been out of town hence the late response. The pattern is in the May 2008 American Quilter magazine. Perhaps you can go to the web site and find a back issue. The designer is Cathy Wiggins. It was fun to make!
