What are you most proud of?

Completing this quilt and knowing that it has not fallen apart in the washing machine!!!!!

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Be mindful of which way your seams go. I had top quilting problems with some seams changing its position. Also ensure your center panel is cut square. This one is not!!!!!

I think this is so pretty and so feminine, and I love the little flowers that have been added to make it really special. Well done - you should be really, really proud of yourself to make such a lovely work both of art and of practicality.

Your quilt may be just the jumpstart I need to begin learning quilting. It's truly lovely, and the time and effort it must have taken to find exactly the right prints for this project are obvious in its beauty.

Thank you Pyper for your lovely comments. Do start quilting it is a truly satisfying craft. Not only that you learn to make many beautiful things as well. This quilt actually took me a year to collect and make it. Being on a pension and strict budget does slow things down considerably but it was truly rewarding to see it finished. Someone has suggested I enter it a quilt show to which I might do! Thanks again Julie.

Thank you for all your kind comments. I have only been quilting for 2 years and this is my first big quilt. It's 2.20 mtrs x 2.20 mtrs square. Don't know the imperial conversion. It took considerable time to find all the fabrics.

Absolutely lovely. The colors are just beautiful. I paint roses on porcelain, and love the subtle shadings in these beautiful flowers. Your quilt brings out those color subtleties in a magnificent way!
