What materials did you use? Go Cutter, various cotton fabric from my stash.

What are you most proud of? This was my 4th quilt ever and the first time I did applique. The fact that I took on changing the flowers when I hadn't done applique period I think was tough. I practiced on several roses though before actually placing them on the quilt. I also think the satin stich that I used on the applique turned out pretty well considering it was my first time and I was trying to manuever the entire quilt top while stiching the applique.

What advice would you give someone starting this project? First, it was a bad idea to attach all the applique at the same time. I'd do one side first and then the other. I think I'd also consider doing the applique on the outer border before attaching it to the quilt. At least to the extent that I could without it affecting the design.

Love your colour use and the roses are a lovely boarder.

Nice job. I love your color choices. I like to do bright colors with a dark background too. The roses on the border are a nice touch. I am self taught, but I would probably applique them onto the fabric before I put the backing on so that it is easier to manuver the fabric.
