Having viewed the video course, I wanted to experiment with a combination of a pattern background coupled with plain toning colours

The small circles round the edge
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
When Carol says leave three inches or so between the stitching lines, you can do make them smaller but it is harder to cut out and you get a different effect.
