Instructions

I made the hexagons larger than the book. My hexagons are approximately 10 inches, the book makes a small hexagon.

Difficulty:

Category: Quilting

Type of item: Home Decor

For: Home

Style: Traditional

Materials

I use batiks to make this table runner. The batiks are a gradated so it made it easier to match colors.

What are you most proud of?

I love the colors and how they turned out with the gradated fabrics.

What advice would you give someone starting this project?

Practice the stitch you are going to use on the raw edge applique before using it on the actual piece. I also would heavily starch your background piece before stitching. Ididn't use any stabilizer because I starched the piece so well.

Gorgeous! I have a weakness for applique, and this is a beautiful table runner that would light up any table. Thanks so much for sharing.
