What materials did you use? Cotton fabric, cotton clothesline, thread, button for decoration and hot glue

What are you most proud of? I'm so happy that I was able to make myself one using the videos I found on the internet. I think lots of people will be getting something like this for Christmas. Maybe I'll use the bowl and fill it with homemade cookies. Now that's a double whammy!

What advice would you give someone starting this project? If you see a project that you admire don't be afraid to try to make one for yourself. The first one is for practice, the next one gets better and better.

I love this. When I can sew something for my home that is practical and useful it suits me quite well. Any suggestions for a video? D

My favorite Your Tube video was by "craftygemini" called "how to make a fabric basket/bowl"

This design is from a book called It's a Wrap and be found at Amazon.

Great job Betsy! I've recently been inspired by another craftsy member to make these too! Probably the same one, hehe. It gets addictive! I love how you've included the single handle in your design. You could hang it off a hook on the wall. Might give that a go too, thanks!

Thanks, I had to try making a handle and that was it, quite easy. I can't wait to make the next one. I'm off to the store tomorrow to buy more rope.

I've added pictures of my second project bowl. Each one gets easier and produces confidence and bigger and better ideas. Such fun.

Fabulous! Your sides are so straight and smooth! That's the bit that I struggle with. I love the variegated thread that you've used as well; looks great with the fabric.
