What was your inspiration?
I made a valence curtain for my kitchen using the red and yellow mode fabric and thought it would be nice to add this to my kitchen to match. I love roosters so I fussy cut a rooster from a panel I purchased in Arizona and I just thought it was perfect. I was going to frame the block but I think I will finish it off with backing and binding and hang it as a small wall hanging in my kitchen.
What are you most proud of?
I am proud that I made the block from my own imagination using leftover fabrics!
What advice would you give someone starting this project?
Think, plan and execute! Let your creative juices flow and admire what your final result is when you are finished.
